In New Rochelle, you can skate at three locations. Effective Tuesday, Jan. 2. park staff have posted signs indicating that skating is permitted at Paine Lake, the South Lake of Huguenot Park/Twin Lakes at New Rochelle High School and Carpenter’s Pond.

The signs are white with red lettering.

At Sheldrake Environmental center, signs clearly state that skating is not permitted, though from the look of things, above, someone’s been on the ice.
