A National Weather Service flood watch is in effect until Friday afternoon.

“Due to the recent heavy rainfall,” says the Village of Mamaroneck website, “many rivers and streams are at high levels. This combined with saturated soil will result in high runoff rates with the potential for moderate to major flooding.”

A notice from Rye Police also predicts up to four inches of rain and the possibility of flooding.
