It’s been almost a year since that Day in the Life of Larchmont, October 20, 2011, and the exhibit will be displayed again at the Larchmont Library for the month of October. The photos will be hung on Monday, October 1st and there will be an Opening Reception that evening from 6:30 till about 8:00 pm.
The Historical Society has been working on a book with a selection of the photos.

Then there’s One Day: Photos of Life in New Rochelle, the 10-10-10 Project. That book is now available for pre-order at 101010nr.com. This book contains photos taken by volunteer photographers on October 10th, 2010 and is being sold for charity.
On that day dozens of volunteer photographers fanned out throughout New Rochelle, submitting over 4000 photos including weary, but pleased Yankee fans disembarking from a midnight train; churchgoers gathering outside a church after mass; haircuts; weddings and baptisms; fishermen and Laundromats; big box stores and war monuments; beachgoers and bicyclists.
Great to see so much good photography and interest in everyday life in our towns.
