Turkey Trots into Larchmont Neighborhood

Chatsworth Turkey, 2013

Does anyone remember the Chatsworth turkey?

Well, it seems that one of his relatives is back with a vengeance. WCBS reports that a turkey was “terrorizing” a Larchmont neighborhood on Wednesday.

Wild turkeys are native to these parts, and it’s not all that unusual to spot one in the area. They are sometimes seen this time of year in trees, or occasionally spotted taking a walk in the street.

While it may have seemed scary at the time, the New York State Dept. Of Environmental Conservation says the birds are generally harmless, and may react out of fear to human screams and people running.

Let’s hope he gets out of here by Thanksgiving.
