Town of Mamaroneck’s 350th Birthday Party

350 years ago on September 23, a  Siwanoy Indian Chief made a deal with John Richbell not far from where children play soccer at Harbor Island. The result was an exchange of land that is now the Town and Village of Mamaroneck and the Village of Larchmont.

Celebrate the Town of Mamaroneck’s 350th Birthday this weekend !

Here is the official schedule of activities:

Anniversary Weekend Celebration – September 16th – 18th
Friday

3:30 Larchmont Library
Huzzah! Mamaroneck’s 350th Anniversary
Gather around for Colonial stories and crafts (Ages 5 and up)

Friday Night 7:00 PM Harbor Island
Softball Game against Town & Village Fire Departments

Friends of the Library Sponsored Event Beginning Sept 10th through September 24th
Celebrate the Town’s birthday by strolling down Palmer Avenue and back in time to read Sarah
Morton’s Day: A Day in the Life of a Pilgrim Girl by Kate Waters.
Pick up a map in the Burchell Children’s Room.

Saturday:
Farmers Market, Apple Pressing 10:30-12:30
Shopping Districts Events
Sheldrake Tours / Clean up event

Sunday:
2:00 PM Parade
Beginning @ Central School Parking Lot and ending in Memorial Park.

Memorial Park Picnic Celebration 3:00 – 6:00 PM
Entertainment, Food Vendors, Games, Music
Showing of Historical Video
On- Going Activities
T-Shirt Sales through the Town Clerk’s Office
Sports Leagues, Schools, Library
Parade Parking & Shuttle Bus
Parking is available in Commuter Lot#1 on Myrtle Blvd.
Shuttle busses will run from Commuter Lot #1 to Central School
