A 4-year-old Rye boy who was left unattended for seconds on Tuesday afternoon managed to jump over the seat of a 2007 Cadillac,
shift the car into gear, and crash it into a nearby parked car that had three occupants.
According to police, the boy’s nanny left the car running in the Shenorock Shore Club parking lot at about 3 p.m. when she got out to buckle him up. The boy crashed the car into a 2008 GMC Suburban that was occupied by a 36-year-old Port Chester woman and two 2-year-old children, who were both wearing their seatbelts.
