Sheldrake Environmental Center to Honor Community Members during 3/30 Spring Benefit
Sheldrake is proud to acknowledge individuals whose efforts are in line with its mission to inspire environmental awareness and action in the community, and to preserve and protect local environmental resources. For its upcoming Spring Benefit, Sheldrake will have the pleasure of honoring individuals who are making a difference. We are thrilled to be honoring individuals who are effectively raising awareness of environmental issues in our community, said Holly Moskow, Executive Director. Honorees include: Gail Boyle, Principal of Chatsworth Avenue School, Patricia Mulqueen, Manager of Westchester Public Affairs for Con Edison, Stephanie Tomei, Joe Rogot and Maggie McGovern, the co-founders of Ward Acres Community Garden. The event will feature festive music, a silent auction and raffle. Cocktails and a light dinner will be served. Admission tickets are $100. They can be purchased at, along with raffle tickets and journal ads. All proceeds will benefit Sheldrake Environmental Center.

Tickets start at $25. Dance Theater of Harlem Ensemble will host a lively program that featured a variety of short ballet performances and excerpts, giving the audience a behind-the-scenes look at the making of an artist, from the barre to the stage, and exposing them to the company’s “unique yet classic” brand of dance and amazing 42-year history. Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble, the second company of DTH, features 16 young dancers, ages 18-25, and ensemble director Keith Saunders, formerly a dancer with the company.

Spring Break JAMS @ Groove
Spring is here and everyone is looking to groove!

Celebrate the season of daffodils, sidewalk chalk, butterflies, swings and digging in the dirt! These special vacation week JAMS feature members of the Groove House Band and the absolute best of the Music for Aardvarks song collection. A refreshing alternative to the traditional music class, Music for Aardvarks is totally unique, free-spirited and a rockin good time for kids and grown-ups alike.  Perfect for ages 6 months – 5 years. Reservations are strongly suggested.

Intro To the Instruments: Percussion. Ages 4-11.
Larchmont Music Academy continues the Introduction to the orchestra series with the world of Percussion Instruments. Faculty from Larchmont Music Academy will be bringing drums of all sizes and shapes to life in an afternoon of beats, finishing with an all inclusive drum circle. This will be a fun interactive concert where kids will learn about the different parts of a drumset, world beat drums like conga and djembe drums and many many more. Please join The Junior League of Westchester on the Sound as we honor five amazing women making significant contributions in our community. The Surgeon and the Saint
