Jay Heritage Imagines Meadows

Bundled in scarves and many wearing gardening “wellies,” they braved temperatures in the low 30s to first take a good look at New York State’s oldest man managed meadow

Coming Up: Jay Day in Rye

The Jay Heritage Center is a non-profit involved in historic preservation,  educational outreach,  and environmental awareness.  Just down the Post Road in Rye, it’s  tremendously interesting:   John Jay was a signer of the Constitution,  the Jay family were important abolitionists in the 19th century, and it’s on a lovely site on the Sound, next to the Rye Conservancy. Have a look this weekend, at their annual Fall Family Festival, September 23, on Jay Day!
