There’s a reason they line up around the block every year.

The 85th annual St. John’s Holiday Bazaar is Saturday, November 19, 10am – 3 pm. Great for kids’ sports gear, bicycles, white elephants, books and toys. -editor

from St. John’s Church:

The theme for this year’s Christmas Bazaar, a community tradition celebrating its 85th year, is the 12 Days of Christmas: From 12+ Silent Auction items (VIP opportunities like a week at a Florida vacation home, US Open and Yankees tickets and more) to 8 local charities to benefit from the proceeds, to 3 big rooms filled with bargains on collectibles, jewelry, toys, household goods, sports equipment and books, there’s something for everyone.  You can get a head start on holiday shopping, and feel good that every dollar you spend (and a percentage of everything purchased from vendors) is going straight into projects for the neediest people in our own community.

There will also be boutiques filled with beautiful gifts for everyone on your list, visits with Santa (with professional photos available, so you can get your Christmas card done early this year!), a café where you can rest your feet and each a homemade hot lunch or delicious baked goods, and the opportunity to have Santa send a letter from the North Pole to your favorite child! The warmth of the Christmas spirit and community effort fills the parish hall with a lot more joy than you’ll find at the local mall!

All proceeds from the St. John’s Christmas Bazaar benefit local community groups, including the HOPE Food Pantry, Washingtonville Housing Alliance, Hispanic Resource Center, Furniture Sharehouse, Mamaroneck/ Larchmont Student Aid Fund, Bienvenidas Girls, Providence House and more. So you can feel good about doing good while having fun with the whole family!

St. John’s Episcopal Church is located at 4 Fountain Square, on Linden Avenue, right off Larchmont Avenue. For more information, call St. John’s at (914) 834-2981.
