The New Rochelle Police Department says it has arrested a 15 year-old juvenile on charges related to the Valaree Schwab homicide.
“This individual was charged as a juvenile with Hindering Prosecution and Tampering With Physical Evidence, both felonies. These charges stem from the individual’s actions at the crime scene on the day of the incident. Since he is a juvenile his case will be adjudicated in Family Court,” the department announced. The Department will not release any further information at this time.
New Rochelle High School Junior Valaree Schwab, 16, was stabbed twice in the torso with a steak knife inside a Dunkin’ Donuts near the school on January 10, and died at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. Police charged another student, Z’inah Brown, with the crime.
