In Scarsdale Undercover, we share some of the more…unnecessary…police activity that seems to occur only in Scarsdale, New York. The “real” crimes will continue to appear in our weekly Police Blotter.
A Popham Road resident reported hearing screaming several times from behind the house. Police canvassed the area for “a screaming party” with no results. April 26.
A Montrose Road resident reported hearing voices inside her home, but wasn’t sure whether they were coming from people or the TV. Police found that the TV was, in fact, on. April 27.
On April 27, police received a call from a Brambach Road resident reporting a car being parked on his side of the road for the previous three days. The car turned out to be legally parked and registered. The next day, the caller complained again, and police still found no violations with the car, which belonged to a neighbor.
A Kelwynne Road resident reported that a man and woman, both in their 20’s, were pulling into neighborhood driveways and peering into homes. When confronted, the pair said they were looking for “Beyonce’s house.” April 28.
A Boulevard resident reported a black Lincoln Town Car idling in his driveway. Police found the driver had pulled up to the wrong house, and was waiting for the man’s next-door neighbor. May 1.
