In Scarsdale Undercover, we share some of the more…unnecessary…police activity that seems to occur only in Scarsdale, New York. The “real” crimes will continue to appear in our weekly Police Blotter

WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD

A resident reported a car traveling slowly on Boulevard with four occupants “looking at houses.” Apparently, they were. The driver told police he and his family planned to by a house.  May 29.

ROLL TAPE

A caller reported someone on the Popham Road Bridge videotaping the intersection of Popham and East Parkway.  He planned to use the footage in his wife’s traffic ticket trial. May 23.

FLASHING LIGHTS

A Ferncliff Road resident reported seeing someone with a flashlight in the house behind his.  It was an electrician.  May 24.

PERCEPTION

A Taunton Road resident reported a parked cement truck blocking the road. It was actually parked in someone’s driveway. May 25.

YARD WASTE

A Crossway resident reported her neighbor’s landscapers coming onto her property, apparently with debris. The landscaper said he’d clean it up. May 28.
