In Scarsdale Undercover, we share some of the more…unnecessary…police activity that seems to occur only in Scarsdale, New York. The “real” crimes will continue to appear in our weekly Police Blotter.

MAIL MAN?

Haverford Road residents reported that someone knocked down their mailbox. Police saw car tracks leading from the resident’s driveway to the mailbox, the post of which had a minor scratch. The residents believe the newspaper deliveryman may have hit it by accident. April 18.

MOWED LAWN

Vernon Road residents reported construction vehicles working at a neighbor’s house are damaging their front lawn. Police saw tire tracks and damaged grass. The resident told officers that the contractor had said he’d repair the damage but she “wanted it repaired now.” April 19.

TOO MUCH FUN

Residents reported hearing voices, laughing and a car driving away outside their Ridgedale Road home. The homeowners also told officers that unknown individuals put two vacuum cleaners on the edge of their property, which showed no sign of damage. April 21.

PILE UP

A resident reported newspapers accumulating on a Lincoln Road driveway. Officers moved them to a chair on the back patio. April 24.
