In Scarsdale Undercover, we share some of the more…unnecessary…police activity that seems to occur only in Scarsdale, New York. The “real” crimes will continue to appear in our weekly Police Blotter.

 

SPECIAL ANIMAL EDITION

WATCHDOG: After a neighbor reported a dog “constantly barking,” police visited the dog’s Stonehouse Road home numerous times morning until night over a five-day period and heard nothing.  March 28.

Then, a Carmen Road resident reported a dog owner “wearing a brown coat” let the animal defecate on his lawn between 4:30 and 5 a.m. four days in a row. Officers patrolled the area during that time, but didn’t see any violations. March 30.

R.I.P.: A caller reported having a sick skunk in her backyard that wasn’t leaving. The animal turned out to be dead. March 30.
