In Scarsdale Undercover, we share some of the more…unnecessary…police activity that seems to occur only in Scarsdale, New York. The “real” crimes will continue to appear in our weekly Police Blotter.

A Weaver Street resident complained that a neighbor’s dog was barking nonstop. Police found the dog to be barking when the complainant’s son bounced a basketball.  Aug. 29.

A Griffen Avenue resident reported that a neighbor had three generators running “and it sounds like there is construction going on.” Police found numerous generators in the area due to a power outage. Aug. 29.

A Fenimore Road resident reported that a young man was in her backyard holding what appeared to be a tree cutter.  The man told the resident he just wanted to see how old the house is. Aug. 30.

A Saxon Woods Road resident reported a man in a white T-shirt walking around behind his neighbor’s property. The man turned out to be the homeowner’s brother-in-law, who was helping hook up a generator. Aug. 31.

A Greenacres Avenue resident reported that someone threw a “smelly liquid” on his front door. The liquid had been washed off with water by the time police arrived. Sept. 1.

A resident reported a man in a T-shirt standing at a Ross Road residence “talking on a cell phone for an extended period of time with no apparent purpose.” Police learned the man was working at the house. Sept. 3.
