Sabina Chesnik, 95 years of age, of Larchmont and Brookville, New York, passed away on July 27, 2011 at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Widow of the late Edward J. Chesnik, she is survived by two children, Christine E. Webler (Thomas) and Edward J. Chesnik (Susan), six grandchildren, James, Taylor, Erin, Morgan, Ryan and Griffin, and 5 great-grandchildren, Scarlett, William, Brielle, Landon and Jerry, and one sister, Viola McClaney. Known as Aunt Sally, she leaves behind 7 nieces and nephews.
Born at home in Newark, New Jersey on December 7, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Stella Frydrych. Raised in Maspeth, Queens she resided in Rego Park, New York for over 50 years. Besides her husband and parents she is predeceased by two sisters, Jean Gandt and Estelle Henry. While her great passion was her family Sabina enjoyed playing the piano. She especially loved playing show tunes. Also she leaves behind a collection of portraits that she painted over many years.
