This just in…now it can be told…Rumorville confirms…
The lease is up soon at Kenise Barnes Fine Arts’ lovely gallery space at 1955 Palmer Avenue, and says Kenise, “I have been actively looking for space, both in Larchmont and neighboring towns for 6 months. Although there are some good spaces available throughout Westchester County, It made me wistful to think about leaving Larchmont…”
So she will be staying in her building, moving three storefronts up to part of the current Wendy Gee! space, as Lee Rubin, stylish owner there, is reworking his store, and will be condensing into his one large storefront, making the right hand store available.
“I will be able to expand from my current 650 square feet to a spacious 1300 square feet and 1300 more square feet of warehouse/inventory space below. I will build two exhibition galleries, an office and a private viewing room in the space. Ah, breathing room! In 2013, after 13 years, I am getting 1300 feet of exhibition space and 1300 feet of storage! See? Lucky 13!”
Opening bash? April 13, of course.
