Rita (Nee Poccia) Hessert on January 17, 2011 at home in Harrison at age 78.

Rita was born in Larchmont on July 20, 1932 to Oreste and Alisa (nee DeLitta) Poccia. Rita work career began at age 19 with Frito Lay in Mamaroneck and lastly as a secretary for Mieghan Necasummer Esq.  She was also well known as a professional ballroom teacher for 3o years. She was active in her community, a member of the Columbiettes, a member of the choir of St. Vito’s and Most Holy Trinity where she taught religious education and she was the secretary of her co-op board.  Cherished mother of Raymond J. (wife Debbie), Victoria (husband John) Graboski and Julia (husband Vincent) Crupi, loving sister of Gloria Pritts and the late Anthony Poccia, Oreste Poccia Jr., Lucy Rigano and Vicotria Cusack.  Devoted grandmother of Charles and Timothy Hessert, Lee Graboski, and Joseph and Jason Crupi.  Also survived by former spouse Edmond J. Hessert and long time companion Vincent Ianiello.  Reposing on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 and Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home 767 East Boston Post Rd. Mamaroneck www.coxeandgraziano.com Funeral Mass Friday 10 a.m at Most Holy Trinity R.C. Church followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donation to the religious education program at Most Holy Trinity will  be appreciated.
