This week’s police blotter from the Mamaronecks, Larchmont, Rye and Scarsdale.








DWI: A 73-year-old New Rochelle woman was arrested for DWI after she was involved in a car accident on Boston Post Road. May 29

LARCENY: A Mount Vernon man was arrested after an officer saw him removing a bicycle from the rack in Lot 1.  The 45 year-old man was charged with Petit Larceny, Possession of Burglar Tools, and Possession of Stolen Property.  He was arraigned and transferred to the Westchester County Jail on $2500 bail. May 31

DRUG ARREST: An employee of  Taranto’s Deli on Boston Post Road was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance and marijuana possession after a customer reported him acting confused. June 1.

ATTEMPTED LARCENY: A woman attempted to withdraw $3,300 using fraudulent credentials from the Wells Fargo Bank on Palmer Avenue before running away. June 1


LARCENY: Four rims and tires were stolen from a car owned by a Waverly Avenue. June 2

STOLEN VEHICLE: A Cedar Street resident reported that his car was stolen while parked on the street in front of his home. June 2

ARREST: a 29 year-old New Rochelle resident was arrested and charged with petit larceny for stealing a bicycle. He was caught riding away with the bike on West Boston Post Road. June 5


LARCENY:  Two laptops, an Xbox 360, an iPod touch and an mp4 player, together worth about $4,000, were stolen from a Wagon Wheel Road home. June 1


LARCENY: An Overhill Avenue resident reported that his car had been broken into while parked in the Highland Hall parking lot. Several items were taken and his personal papers were scattered on the floor. June 3

LARCENY: A lawnmower and leafblower were taken from the unlocked garage of a Grace Church Street apartment building. June 4

LARCENY: A Milton Road resident reported his golf clubs stolen from his car sometime overnight on June 2. June 4


LARCENY: A Leatherstocking Lane resident reported her IPod Dock stolen from her car while it was parked overnight in the driveway. The woman also said her car was broken into about a month ago in the same place. May 30

LARCENY: A Madison Road resident reported  that three pieces of jewelry, worth about $1500, were stolen from her home. The woman said she may know who stole the jewelry. The case will be investigated further. May 31

HARASSMENT: A Post Road resident reported that someone had put a box with a dead possum on her doorstep. The woman didn’t know of any particular motive, but said her son is having problems with people in the neighborhood. June 1

LARCENY: A Church Lane resident reported his Mac Book Pro stolen from his car while parked in the driveway. There were no damages to the car which indicates that the car doors may have been left unlocked. June 3
