It Must Be the Heat: This week’s blotters from Larchmont, the Mamaronecks, Scarsdale, and Rye.


BURGLARY: A Pine Ridge Road resident reported that someone entered their home and took property worth more than $8,500. July 9

LARCENY: Someone reportedly stole a man’s car while it was parked on the street outside of his Palmer Avenue business. July 11.


ARREST: Police arrested two New Rochelle men for possession of marijuana while on Madison Street. Patrol spotted them while on a routine neighborhood check.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Four female teenagers were charged for disorderly conduct after throwing a water balloon out of a window at a man walking on West Boston Post Road.  July 13

ARREST: Police arrested a 59 year-old local man for DWI after pulling him over for going through a red light on East Boston Post Road. July 13

ARREST: A 27 year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana at Station Plaza after acting suspicious. July 14

BURGLARY: A Beach Avenue resident reported finding the front door to the home open, but there was no report of any missing property. July 14

ARREST: Police arrested 45 year-old White Plains for DWI and driving without a license on Hoyt Avenue. He was pulled over after going through a red light. July 15

ARREST: Police arrested a 46-year-old Pelham woman for stealing a laptop from a residence on West Boston Post Road. July 16


LARCENY: Someone reportedly stole a Garmin GPS from a Rhode Island woman’s car while parked on Briarcliff road. July 15

LARCENY: A Locust Avenue resident reported that his cell phone was missing after eating at Ihop on Boston Post Road. The man believes someone stole the phone. July 17


ARREST: Police arrested a 53 year-old Mount Vernon man man for stealing several items from the CVS on Boston Post Road. The man was caught running down Purdy Avenue with a box filled with the stolen items. July 13

LARCENY: A Hix Avenue resident reported that someone broke into his car and stole his wallet while parked at Eldredge Place. The offender smashed the passenger side window causing $1000 in damages to the car. July 16


LARCENY: A Fairview Road resident reported that someone broke into her car overnight and took her GPS and IPod Touch. The car was parked in front of the home and the car was found with the passenger window smashed. July 15

LARCENY: A Fairview Road resident reported that her GPS was stolen from her Honda while parked in her driveway. The car’s front passenger window was broken. July 15
