Crime of the Week: Police found a large owl in a Scarsdale resident’s living room after receiving a call about a wild bird flying around the homeowner’s house. Police coaxed the bird out the front door. Nov. 29.
TOWN OF MAMARONECK:
Robbery in the First Degree with a handgun- Two individuals were involved in a "business transaction" on Country Road, when a gun was pulled by a non-resident on a young adult residing in the area who was trying to purchase an illegal substance. The suspect fled with money and some property. After Town police broadcast a description of the car, an alert polce officer in Port Chester spotted the suspect and apprehended him. Dec. 5.
Petit Larceny- Street sign stolen at playground, 1 Falls Road. Dec. 3
Grand Larceny in Third Degree- A business owner at 2 Madison Avenue purchased an 18k gold silver chalice online but the merchandise never came. Nov. 29.
Burglary- Over $12,000 worth of jewelry was taken from a home on Mohegan Road. Dec. 7
Criminal mischief to a vehicle: 300 block Palmer Avenue , Dec. 8.
Report of someone abusing dog: Stanley Ave. When police responded, the person was gone on arrival. Dec. 8
Two shopping carts filled with asphalt were reported leaning up against a building at 700 block of Grove, causing damage to the aluminum siding. Dec. 6.
Suspicious vehicle reporter on Soundview Drive. Police advised it was a Fed Ex delievery. Dec. 5.
Drunk driver reported in the Ferndale shopping center lot. Police responded and arrested a female. Dec. 5.
A bag containing a Mac Book was accidently left at the curb on Mamaroneck Avenue, and taken. Dec. 4.
All units responded to reports of possible gunshots, Prospect Ave., area canvassed and unfounded. Dec. 3.

VILLAGE OF LARCHMONT
A Larchmont Ave resident reported on 11/30 that his bicycle, valued at $750, was removed during the daytime hours from the bicycle rack in Lot 1.
A Norwalk woman was arrested during the early morning hours of 12/4 after she was observed operating his vehicle on Boston Post Rd., and committing a traffic infraction.
An employee of a Nursery Lane beauty supply store reportedly stole cash from customers that should have gone into the business’s cash register. Dec. 8.
A New York State handicapped parking permit was reportedly stolen from a car parked at Rye Beach. Dec. 8.
Someone reportedly threw a rock at a Smith Street resident’s kitchen window, causing it to crack. Dec. 7.
THEFT FROM BUILDING
Tools were reportedly stolen from a locked work trailer parked at Station Plaza and 2nd Street.
A Sprague Road resident reported a bicycle stolen. Nov. 29.
A car was reported stolen from a Crawford Lane home. Dec. 2.
A Franklin Road resident reported a man sitting in his car, parked in front of the resident’s house, all afternoon. Dec. 3.
IDENTITY THEFT & FRAUD
Southwoods Lane and Mamaroneck Road residents reported being a victim of identity theft in separate incidents. Dec. 4.
A women reported that a man exposed himself to her just before 5 a.m. near Dunkin’ Donuts on Depot Place. Dec. 5.
