Calling all flappers and philanthropists! The Pelham Art Center invites you to shimmy, foxtrot and Charleston right into the Roaring Twenties on Saturday, May 14th at the “Gatsby Garden Party,” the Art Center’s 36th annual spring benefit. Spend an evening supporting its major fundraiser in one of Pelham’s most elegant and majestic residences, located in a park-like setting across from Pelham Country Club. Whether sipping the night’s signature Southsides, playing garden croquet in the gorgeous gardens, dining on delectable gourmet dinner fare, perusing sensational silent auction items, dancing to the tunes of the Golden Age, or placing your bets on the Preakness in the “Gin Room,” get ready for an evening of true Jazz Age fun!

 

“Everyone’s in the mood to shrug off winter and have some fun,” said Executive Director Lynn Honeysett.  “And this year’s Gatsby Garden Party promises to be exactly the remedy, thanks to the creativity and effort of our Committee Co-chairs Leslie Berkery and Robin Bratone, as well as Board Chair Barbara Carden and President Anna Riehl. It’s nice to know that Pelham’s loyalty to the Art Center will be rewarded with a spectacular evening.”

AN EVENING OF EASY ELEGANCE, FUN AND ART
Guests will feast on a three-course small plates gourmet dinner served at stations complete with decadent desserts, all catered by Pelham’s own “Rollin’ Bistro” – restaurant Bistro Rollin’s new catering business. Cocktail options will include wine, beer, and cocktails including the evening’s signature drink, the Southside.  The sounds of the Jazz Age will fill the air throughout the evening with dance music following dinner. All ticket levels include dinner, dessert and cocktails. Valet parking will be available.

Silent auction items this year include a fabulous array of art, travel and luxury goods in addition to the return of Robins Art + Giving Fund, where guests may make contributions to directly fund free art workshops, class scholarships, bus transportation for visiting schoolchildren, free gallery tours, and artists-in-residence for at-risk youth.

Among the bevy of silent auction items, guests may bid on a private tour of the Brant Art Foundation in Greenwich, CT, select art pieces, CNBC and Art in America internships as well as stays in private homes in Budapest, Ireland and Bar Harbor.
