Rick Elias says he heard it over and over on local ball fields as a coach. Someone’s child or parent needed an Oral Surgeon. Most of them were too far to go. Rick himself has a Practice in the City, but many people didn’t want to go that far for an appointment. Why weren’t there more Oral Surgeons in Larchmont or Mamaroneck?
Now there are. Dr. Elias, who lives in Larchmont, has extended his New York City practice to Mamaroneck, and the spanking-new Mamaroneck Oral Surgery is open for business.
“I wanted to do surgery that was visible,” he says. ” I had an incredible role model in my father who is an oral surgeon.” Elias is on staff at Mt Sinai and Lenox Hill Hospitals, and is on the Medical Advisory Board for the Little Baby Face Foundation.
Oral surgeons extract teeth, place dental implants, perform bone grafts after teeth are lost, biopsy oral lesions, treat TMJ, facial trauma, do facial cosmetic surgery, chin, cheek, jaw line refinement and and repair injured nerves that supply the chin, lip and tongue.
And that’s a mouthful.
