Olga Cerrina passed away at 103 years at her home in Mamaroneck.
She was born in Fubine, Italy and married Paul Cerrina there. They moved to New Rochelle in 1939 where he had already established his Architectural practice and resided there until 1973 when they retired to Fubine. Paul passed away that summer, but Olga continued to live in Italy and spend time with her only child, her daughter Gladys (John Syvarth) in Mamaroneck.
Olga was a talented gardener, seamstress and cook and loved her home town Fubine. She enjoyed travel, took great pleasure in driving her husband to supervise the construction of his works, and was a member of Ars Italica (a cultural Italian Women’s club). She stayed active well into her 90’s. Her family will receive friends Thursday 3-8PM at The John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc. in Larchmont. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, 11AM at St. Vito’s Church in Mamaroneck. In lieu of flowers donations to Calvary Hospice and Salesian Mission 2 Lesevre Lane New Rochelle, NY.
