Norman Kaminsky, 78, died of Melanoma at his home in Scarsdale, NY on July 17 surrounded by family. Born on January 5, 1933, he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Barbara; daughters Karen (Marc) and Susan; son Michael (Janeen); and adoring “Paka” of Josh, Caitlin, Aly, Kyla and Angelina.
Norman culminated his 38 year career at Albert Leonard Middle School in New Rochelle, NY as an administrator. He founded and directed Westchester Arts and Science, a summer program for gifted children. He will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and sensitivity.
Funeral services will be held on July 19 at 11am at Chapel in the Woods at Congregation Kol Ami, 252 Soundview Ave., White Plains, NY. Contributions may be made in his memory to organizations supporting melanoma and cancer research.
