Larchmont Police say a body was found this morning that they believe is that of a Mount Vernon firefighter believed drowned June 26.

The Westchester Medical Examiner’s office is expected to release the results of an autopsy on Monday.

James Drago, 49, of Yonkers, reportedly disappeared while swimming off a boat near Manor Beach in Larchmont on June 26.

According to LoHud, Drago had been with the Mount Vernon Fire Department for over 10 years. After calling off an active search for Drago last week, police and fire officials had been cautious in treating their investigation as an open missing-person case.
