  1. Hope you get more farmers. Especially vegetables and fruits. At least you have two to start. Have you found any orchards to participate? We’re coming into stone fruit season. The Orchards of Conklin of Pomona, NY grow their own. For vegetables, try Dagele Brothers Produce of Florida, NY and Alex’s Tomatoes of Sprakers or Carlisle, NY. See downtoearthmarkets.com for contact info.
This sounds like more of a food vendors’ market than a farmers’ market and maybe should be labelled as a “Seasonal Food and Farmers Market” (or a Food Bazaar), since most of the vendors are food purveyors, with some farmers.
What types of food packaging do the vendors use? Please encourage recycleable materials.

    • Hi, Sorry for the late reply… Just saw your note just now. We have Newgate Farms now. They have both veggies and fruit. This is a small start-up market and people are just discovering it. As a result, the market cannot support more than one produce vendor. We do not call it a Farmer’s market for that reason. It’s more of a community market with a focus on “LOCAL” — we strive to have as many Larchmont food-related vendors as possible. We have a lot of provisions including fresh fish, produce, meat, olive oil/vinegars along with baked goods and prepared foods from local restaurants for people to eat at the park or take home. In terms of packaging, not all vendors are using recycleable materials but we are certainly encouraging them to do so. Once we get enough customers attending the market, we will definitely add more farms! Thank you very much for the feedback and the ideas!! Much appreciated.
