It was on the tracks between Larchmont and Mamaroneck early Thursday morning, a man attempted a ride – on top of the train. The stunt cost him his life.
Metro-North Railroad’s New Haven Line service was delayed overnight as the incident caused a power issue on the line.
The MTA says a man had tried to get on top of the train and had come into contact with overhead catenary wires. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.MTA police are investigating. Officials have not yet released the man’s name, pending notification to his family.
New Haven Line trains were delayed 30 to 55 minutes until about 3:20 a.m.
