You thought July is quiet? There are new places and new players ramping up around town.
The long-awaited rehabbed Mamaroneck Library has quietly opened its doors, and is back in business.
Although the official grand re-opening of the library, located at 136 Prospect Ave., is not until the fall, it’s good to know the rehabbed community hub is ready and waiting for us. The library has closed its temporary location on Mamaroneck Avenue.
In addition, the Mamaroneck School District has some new faces on its board.
At its annual reorganization meeting last evening, the Board of Education elected Robin Nichinsky Board president and Nancy Pierson vice president for the coming school year. Two new Board members elected by the community last May –Ann LoBue and Stanley Futterman — also were sworn in.
