Major Crush in Larchmont

Print

The transformation of 1985 Palmer Avenue in Larchmont  into Crush Wine Bar is nearing the finish line with a Saturday opening planned. First pictures coming soon…but expect chandeliers, a polished concrete bar, plush upholstery. How does one small village get lucky enough to have two wine bars…with food?

By the way, owner Jennifer Deutch is still looking for a few good servers if you know anyone…

  1. I agree with the other poster, was hoping for something a little more unique. I walk past here every day taking my kid to school and I have peeked in. The interior is a little old fashioned and dark. Let’s hope the food, drinks menu and music (maybe a DJ on certain nights?) will make it more of a hip place to hang out.
I hate having to trek into the city for a decent bar.

  2. Chandeliers? Plush upholstery? That wine bar already exists. My Larchmont friends and I were praying for a wine bar with a more laid-back vibe. There are plenty of old Brooklyn/south of 14th street transplants up here all dying for something that doesn’t cater to the Upper East side. Ah well, fingers crossed. Otherwise we’ll still be making the trek to Gnarley Vine.
