The ping pong game over the fate of the Westchester Children’s Museum continues, with County Legislators overriding the County Executive’s veto of their plan to let the museum move into a former bathhouse at Rye Playland.

At a special meeting Wednesday night, legislators unanimously voted to override Rob Astorino’s veto of a deal to let the museum rent the historic North Bathhouse building for $1 per year in exchange for $6.4 million in repairs to the building. Playland is County-owned.

As we wrote last week, Astorino vetoed the plan based on financial concerns and that the 10-year lease is premature, since a process to determine the future of Playland is underway.
