Coming Up: Larchmont-Mamaroneck ‘Grow It Green’




Celebrate spring at the “Grow It Green” community event for families, homeowners, and landscapers. It will be held on Sunday April 10, 1 to 6 PM at Larchmont Temple, 75  Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont, NY.  It’s free and open to the public.

If you pre-register here, by April 8, you can get a free raffle ticket.

This year a variety of fun workshops and entertainments will be featured, including how to rent a hen, grow an edible garden, and start a seed library. Refreshments will be provided.

The keynote speaker on Sunday at 1:15 is Kim Eierman of EcoBeneficial! who will talk about improving our environment, one yard at a time. Other speakers are from Stone Barns, Greenburgh Nature Center, Sheldrake Environmental Center, and Green Jay Landscaping.

The event is hosted by the Larchmont Temple Social Action Committee, the Village of Mamaroneck Committee for the Environment, the Town of Mamaroneck Sustainability Collaborative, Sheldrake Environmental Center, the Village of Larchmont Environmental Committee, and Foley’s True Value Hardware.
