Matsumoto settlement, Helping Haiti, feeding the hungry and speed dating (in bed)...
The attorney representing the plaintiffs in a lawsuit claiming discrimination by Matsumoto restaurant in Larchmont says the restaurant has agreed to pay an undisclosed settlement pending Court approval.
Two ways to feed the hungry-- The PEAK, 107.1, has compiled a CD for charity called Peak Performances, Vol 2 that include tracks from artists such as Rob Thomas, The Smithereens, The Bacon Brothers, Marc Cohn, G. Love and more. All proceeds from the sale of this CD will benefit the Food Bank of Westchester (FBW), an organization that distributes five million pounds of donated, surplus and purchased food and groceries each year, helping to feed some or all of the 200,000 women, children and men who are hungry or food insecure in Westchester County. The CD may be previewed and purchased here . The CD was recorded at ACME Studios on 112 West Boston Post Rd. in Mamaroneck over the last 18 months.
There is also a big fundraiser planned at Molly Spillane's in Mamaroneck on Friday night.
