New Rochelle High School has a new tower. It was hoisted up Monday while school was out

 to replace the South Tower destroyed by lightning August 15, 2008.

School officials write proudly,  "The metal spire was first lifted to cap the roof which was assembled on the ground adjacent to the building."  Did it come in ivory?
