How You Can Help Victims of Hurricane Sandy

We thought a roundup of options would be helpful–Local, NY City-wide and National efforts:


Furniture Sharehouse provides free furniture to economically disadvantaged individuals and families living in Westchester County, giving them the basic household furnishings that enable them to rebuild their lives and live with dignity.

The Annual St. John’s Bazaar has been moved up a week.  Saturday, November 10th from 10 AM to 3 PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Fountain Square, Larchmont.

Donation drive at Vision of Tomorrow Salon Nov. 7-10. Responding to needs posted at

Hampshire Country Club is accepting donations of blankets and winter clothing for men, women and children. All donated items will be given directly to those in need as quickly as possible.

Vintage 1891 will continue to collect supplies for those affected by Sandy Until November 10th. People may bring any items to the restaurant for donation. Also, “our doors are open those with out power to come and warm up, use our free wi fi and charge any electronics.”
