Good news from the Hispanic Resources Center of Larchmont and Mamaroneck:

On December 21st HRC hosted a “Thank You Breakfast” for the local organizations that provided them with office space during the three months the agency was displaced due to damage from Hurricane Irene: Washingtonville Housing Alliance, The Guidance Center-Mamaroneck Clinic, Mamaroneck Seventh Day Adventist Church, Mamaroneck Library, and CAP Center.  HRC staff cooked a delicious breakfast and traditional Mexican hot chocolate for its generous neighbors.

The Hispanic Resource Center of Larchmont & Mamaroneck (HRC) suffered significant damage from the hurricane in August, losing all of its donated furniture inherited a little over a year ago when the agency moved into its new office on Mamaroneck Avenue.  Floors, walls, carpeting and furniture all had to be replaced.  However, HRC was able to continue to provide services to its clients, including helping those who also suffered losses from the flood, thanks to the generosity of local organizations and donors.
