It’s been six days since the freak October storm, and almost 600 Con Edison customers in Westchester County are still waiting for electricity. Here is a map of current outages.
In Connecticut, more than 500,000 customers went another aggravating day Thursday without power or heat. the situation in New Jersey wasn’t much better.
Contractors from Tennessee and other states are helping out in Westchester and Rockland, but the Post reports “Out-of-state contractors were hesitant to travel to Connecticut to help restore power because they had not been paid for their work there in August, when Tropical Storm Irene blew through.”
Do you know anyone who still does not have power? theLoop will put some more pressure on ConEd. Leave comments below.
