Glen F. Fosina, formally of New Rochelle, NY passed away on Saturday, May 7th after a short illness. He resided in Las Vegas, NV with his wife Rosemary for the past 10 years.
Glen was born on April 22, 1941 the son of Anna and John Fosina of NR. He is the brother of Joe Fosina and brother-in-law of Mickie Fosina. Glen is the father of three children, Glen (Christina) from Shirley, NY, Terri (Marvin) Friedman of Suffern, NY and Donna (Benny) Salvatore of New Rochelle. He is survived by five grandchildren, Benny, Samantha and Jessica Salvatore, Johnny and Daniel Friedman. He was predeceased by his former wife Lorraine Fosina. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews who will hold many fond memories of Uncle Glen.
Glen attended Holy Cross College before opening Glen’s Sport Shop in New Rochelle in 1960. Glen joined the US Post Office in 1974 following in his father’s footsteps. John Fosina was Postmaster of the New Rochelle Post Office for 16 years.
After 25 years of service Glen became Post Master of Larchmont and then the Rye Post Office from where he retired. Glen was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of NR where he became President and was also actively involved with the New Rochelle Youth Tackle League as a coach.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Glen at Holy Family Church, Mayflower Ave. New Rochelle on Saturday, May 21st at 10am to return him to his final resting place with our Lord.
