RANCES LANCIA GERMANI born April 14, 1919 in Mamaroneck, New York, to Rosa Notorgiacomo Lancia and Dominick Lancia.
Frances died peacefully at NHC Nursing Facility, Bluffton, SC surrounded by her nieces, Rosie, Anne Marie & Maria on Sunday, November 20, 2011. On January 1, 1945, Frances was united in marriage to Joseph Germani, who predeceased her on July 4, 2006 after sixty-one years of marriage. Fran is also predeceased by six brothers and sisters, John, Thomas, James, Antoinette, Angelina and Ida. Mrs. Germani was owner and operator with her husband, Joseph of the Hillside Delicatessen in Mamaroneck for thirty years. She resided in Mamaroneck and Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Fran enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also an expert seamstress. Fran is survived by her brother, Dominick and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with family will be at the Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home, 767 East Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck, New York on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Vito’s Catholic Church where Fran and Joe were married, 816 Msgr. Goodwine Street, Mamaroneck, New York on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10:00 am. Interment following the Mass will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Chester, NY. Donations may be made to St. Vito’s Catholic Church, 816 Msgr Goodwine Street, Mamaroneck, New York 10543, 914-698-2648 or Westchester County Parks, 914-864-7073 in memory of Fran and Joe Germani, who were so active in the golfing communities of Westchester County, New York and Port St. Lucie, Florida.
