FOLEY – Eugene J., 92, of Huntington, NY. Born in New York City, September 12, 1918.

Passed away April 18, 2011, in Denville, NJ. Predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Marie (Gilhooly) and one sister and two brothers (Katherine, William, John). Graduate of Townsend Harris and New York University. After service as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers during WWII, he co-founded Foley Hardware, Larchmont, NY, and was a sales executive for several industrial companies.

Active throughout his life in his Church, Boy Scouts, local community and charities. Survived by one brother, Vincent (Denville, NJ), and four sons who will miss him dearly: Donald (Barbara), Greenwich, CT; Robert (Mary), Omaha, NB; John (Courtney), Montclair, NJ; Peter (Susan), Northport, NY, as well as 11 grandchildren, 10 nephews and nieces. A fabulous, caring father, uncle and friend. Often said “What a Life!” We believe he meant it! Viewing at Leo P. Gallaher’s, Greenwich, CT, May 6, 6 to 8PM. Mass at St. Michael, North Street, Greenwich, CT May 7, 10AM. Interment at Gate of Heaven, Valhalla, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Burke Foundation- Eugene and Marie Foley Memorial Fund, 785 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.
