Homework help for kids in grades six through nine is available from 5:30-7:45 p.m. on Wednesdays starting Nov. 9 at the Mamaroneck Library, 136 Prospect Avenue. The Homework Help program’s schedule follows the Mamaroneck Schools schedule, meaning help is not available when students are off that day. For details, call the Teen Library at 630-5875.

Larchmont Village Parking permits for 2012 will go on sale Nov. 1 for Village residents; Nov. 2 for Town of Mamaroneck residents; and Nov. 3 for out-of-town residents. Permit sales will take place from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. daily as long as they are available at Larchmont Village Hall, 120 Larchmont Ave. Permits, which are effective Jan. 1, are sold on a first-come, first serve basis. Applications are available at villageoflarchmont.org or at Village Hall.

The Village of Mamaroneck Council of the Arts and the Mamaroneck Public Library are seeking vendors to participate in the upcoming Mamaroneck Village Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Dec. 10 at the Library. The event is open to all local artists selling original works. There is no charge for participating, although organizers are suggesting vendors donated 5% of their sales to the library to expand art exhibitions. Interested artists should contact the Council of the Arts at vomartscouncil@gmail.com with your name, email address, and description of the work you’d like to sell at the fair.

The deadline for local non-profits to apply for solar donations from Green Mountain Energy Company  is Nov. 1. Made available through Green Mountain’s Sun Club, the donations are intended to help non-profits develop solar energy, reduce carbon admissions and save money on electricity costs.
