Coming Up: “Your Child, Drugs and Our Community”- May 8

Several community groups in Larchmont and Mamaroneck will address the issue of opioid abuse May 9 at 7:30 pm.

The event, titled “Your Child, Drugs and Our Community” is being organized by Larchmont-Mamaroneck RADAR, the village Drug Culture Community and the Larchmont-Mamaroneck League of Women Voters, among others.

According to LoHud, Westchester County has suffered 460 opioid related deaths since 2003.

Doors will open @ 7:00 pm at Mamaroneck High School’s Pace Auditorium for you to browse resource tables and talk with representatives from local agencies about prevention, intervention and treatment.

Renowned Drug & Alcohol Expert Mike Nerney will enlighten, educate and armor you with 21st century solutions and skills, to help you navigate the potentially deadly world of drugs facing our children.
