‘Polypetalous,’ as in many “Pop Flowers,” is a new show coming to Kenise Barnes Fine Art in Larchmont. The images add new meaning to the botanical notion of many separate petals on flowers and are extremely beautiful.
The exhibit features several powdered pigment drawings by New York artist Mary Judge, starting November 5 through December 23. The opening reception is November 4 from 6:30 – 8:00.
Judge lives part-time and works in Brooklyn where she owns
Best known for her works on paper, sculpture in cast concrete, and painting in tempera acrylic, her art is included in the collections of The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Fogg Art Museum, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, The British Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Cassino, Italy.
