ReCologie ReOpens in New Rochelle
02 Dec, 2013
By Polly Kreisman
Remember Recologie? For five years the “recycled and repurposed eco-conscious local and global fair trade products” store was on Palmer Avenue in Larchmont.
Recologie has reopened in New Ro, across from the Library Green at 49 Lawton St, and has expanded to include an art gallery and a Vegan/Vegetarian Cafe called Vistro.
Founder Maria Cisneros of Pelham and New Rochelle artist Judith Weber have created “a multi-purpose venue designed to engage the entire community, offering recycled and repurposed eco-conscious local and global fair trade products along with continued inter-active experiences designed to raise awareness and inspire change.”
The store will again focus on unique products sourced from artisans in developing countries, as well as from emerging local artists and designers. A growing on-line catalogue is available at www.recologie.com.
theLoop salutes Judith and Maria!
