Coming Up: LWV Luncheon with Phil Reisman- Apr. 4

Shedding light on local politics is the theme of the Sound Shore Area League of Women Voters’ Annual Luncheon at noon on Friday, April 4th at Orienta Beach Club in Mamaroneck. Journal News Columnist Phil Reisman will deliver the keynote address entitled: “Covering Local Politics–It’s a Dirty Job but Somebody Has to Do It!”
“The role of journalism in keeping government transparent is a theme of interest to not only League members, but should be to all citizens,” said Elisabeth Radow, President of the Larchmont/Mamaroneck League of Women Voters. “We are highlighting the work of our fifth estate in keeping citizens informed and educated, and adding that unique Phil Reisman touch of humor,” she added.
The luncheon is made possible through the LWV of NY State Education Foundation and is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Larchmont/Mamaroneck; New Rochelle, and Rye, Rye Brook, Port Chester. It also features a cocktail reception and the third annual Political Trivia Contest.
