Presentation by The Army Corps of Army Corps of Engineers
Flood Study Update and Presentation, Regarding Proposed
Flood Risk Management Alternatives for The Village of Mamaroneck, NY
The Village of Mamaroneck has been cooperating with:
The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC); and
The Westchester County Department of Planning
with the purpose of assisting the USACE with the collection of local data and information related to their updating investigation and study to establish solutions to reduce the risks of river-based flooding in the Village of Mamaroneck.
Over the past approximately five years, numerous solutions and alternatives have been reviewed and analyzed for the most economically justified, environmentally acceptable and technically feasible solutions for flood risk in the Village.
At this time, the Army Corps and the non-Federal Partners, made up of the State of New York, the County of Westchester and the Village of Mamaroneck, are prepared to have a full public presentation and discussion on the draft semi-final proposals for flood risk management alternatives for Congressional authorization and implementation in Mamaroneck.
For all persons, businesses and other entities or groups that might be interested in viewing the presentation and learning about this extremely vital study and proposal for the Mamaroneck Village community, we recommend you attend the meeting at the date, time and place published above.
