Outgoing Larchmont Trustees Praised
Mayor Josh Mandell and current Members of the Board of Trustees Tuesday praised the service of two retiring trustees, Richard Ward and Anne McAndrews, both Democrats.
Ward, a familiar figure riding a bike in a suit to and from the train station, received thanks for his work creating a more bike friendly environment in the Village, among other achievements.
He steps down after four years, “long enough” he said, “to make a contribution but not too long to go stale.”
March 17, 2011 was declared “Richard Ward Day” in Larchmont (competing with St. Patrick’s Day).
Outgoing Trustee Anne McAndrews, who began service on the Board in
1999, and most recently served as Deputy Mayor, worked to bring improvements to Flint Park and helped plan the upcoming Palmer Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project. Today will be “Anne McAndrews Day” in Larchmont.
New Democratic Trustees Lorraine Walsh and John Komar ran uncontested.
