Local Fireworks Still on Schedule

In Mamaroneck and elsewhere, plans have not changed due to weather as of Thursday.
“At this time, on consultation with our Fireworks providers, review with our Parks Department, information from County Emergency Services and discussion with the Mamaroneck Fire Department, our plan remains on schedule to keep the Mamaroneck Independence Day Fireworks scheduled for Friday, July 4th,” writes Village Manager Richard Slingerland.
Normal start time for the fireworks is about 9:35 p.m., once the skies are dark.

Cross County Shopping Center’s SummerFest
The concert by the NYC Swing Band on July 3 includes a fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day at 9:30 p.m. Starting at 6 p.m. on “The Green” in the center of the mall, strolling entertainers include stilt walkers, face painters and balloon artists. Kensico Dam Music Fest and Fireworks

Scarsdale Firework Spectacular

Larchmont Fourth of July Concert in Manor Park
No fireworks at this concert, but you can see fireworks from neighboring communities all across Long Island Sound while listening to the music of The Dixie Dandies. Picnics are not permitted in the park. This event is held rain or shine. 7:15-9 p.m. Manor Park, 99 Park Ave.
New Rochelle Fireworks
Firework display, produced by Grucci Family of Fireworks, at the New Rochelle waterfront sponsored by New Rochelle Parks and Recreation starting at 9:30 p.m. Optimum viewing locations include Hudson Park, Five Islands Park, and Municipal Marina upper parking deck. Fireworks Shows at Playland
See great fireworks accompanied by a musical score every Wednesday and Friday night during July and August. Concert at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Parking and admission fees apply. Special holiday fireworks show accompanied by a patriotic musical score on the pier on July 4. Rye Playland Amusement Park, 100 Playland Parkway, Rye. No rain date planned. 67th Annual Village of Mamaroneck Firemen’s Carnival, Mamaroneck. (See above)
The carnival, which promises food, games and food, takes place 7-10 p.m. through July 5 at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck. A fireworks display will take place July 4 at 9 p.m. Rain date: July 5. Announcments: 914-825-8777 orvillage.mamaroneck.ny.us.
The National Weather Service and Accuweather both predict the majority of the storm to blow out to sea after impacting North Carolina and The Outer Banks, although our area in New York will receive rain Thursday into Friday.
The Village will also host the St. Thomas Orchestra who will be playing patriotic and inspiring musical selections from 8 p.m. to about 9 p.m. or 9:15 p.m.
Popular musical selections will be played by DJ during the fireworks.
