Former Larchmont Lawyer’s Defense Questioned

Mickey Sherman, formerly of Larchmont, can’t seem to get a break.
Now, his most high profile conviction, that of Michael Skakel, has been called into question. Sherman, who the New York Times says “recognized what television could do for his business,” recently spent about a year in jail for not paying his taxes.
I have met Sherman many times, the first while covering the Skakel trial. Humor and showmanship are his trademark, but he struck me as a very good lawyer. It will be interesting to see what happens to Skakel.
