Beloved Murray Avenue Teacher Elizabeth Dillon Dies

The Mamaroneck School District and the community have lost a beloved First Grade teacher after a courageous battle with cancer.

Elizabeth (Beth) Dillon passed away March 18 at age 57.

She was an  Elementary School Teacher at Murray Avenue School in Larchmont for nearly 28 years. She was also an artist who completed many watercolor pieces and was a member of the Mamaroneck Artist Guild.

Beth attended Sts. John & Paul School and graduated from Mamaroneck High School Class of ’77.

She attended R.I.T and College of New Rochelle, where she obtained her Master’s Degree.

According to her obituary, she was a devout parishioner of Sts. John & Paul and was committed to The Little Sisters of the Poor, Jean Jugan Residence in the Bronx.

She was married to John M. Dillon, and the couple’s son,  John F. Dillon, attends Mamaroneck High School.

There will be a gathering Wednesday 4-8pm at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home and funeral Mass Thursday 10am at Sts. John & Paul followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
